Multi-Tiered Loyalty Scheme Design.
As part of the Discovery stage, we were asked to assist the client to design a multi-tiered mobile loyalty offering to member banks. The aim was for the client to source offers from a wide variety of retailers as service providers that would be made available to all Visa cardholders of the member banks that participated.. In addition to this Visa would offer to broker unique offers on behalf of an individual member bank for them to promote to their own cardholders as a bespoke offering.
The intention was that this would place Visa at the forefront of mobile payments and commerce and add value to their member banks by providing an emerging mobile method for generating increased volume. It was also anticipated that it would benefit cardholders by saving them money on everyday spending.
One of our Principle Mobile Payments Consultants was asked by the client to conduct a market analysis for mCommerce and create a strategy for the deployment of the mobile offers engine and user interface (wallet).
The Principle Mobile Payments Consultant conducted market analysis on emerging technologies and operational schemes. He also conducted internal user group reviews and an initial assessment of the vendor field.
He then created a Deployment Strategy that included the initial marketing and launch of the mobile offers engine, which included incremental developments such as Location Based Services, QR Codes and group savings.
Our Clients Results
The Strategy was well received by the client and a Dashboard Project (a high-priority project with senior leadership team sponsorship) was initiated to deliver against it. The product was taken up by Lloyds and RBS initially and is now part of the V.me mobile offering from Visa.
