Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club were building a new stadium and was seeking a state-of-the-art multi-application supporter card solution that was not only designed to deliver against the clubs growing ambition for the new stadium but could also be trialled in the existing stadium which was a temporarily converted athletics track.
At this stage, the club was simply looking for consultancy and advice on scheme designs and options for the development of the scheme to be interoperable with new and emerging technologies and include value-adding applications.
Consulting Smart’s Senior Smart Technologies Consultant was invited by the General Manager of Brighton and Hove Albion Football Club to deliver a Strategic Vision Paper for Supporter Smartcard Scheme. The Consultant led a number of visioning workshops with key stakeholders to capture headline business needs for the scheme.
We then produced a Strategic Vision Statement with an indicative timeline for deployment supported by a deep dive paper describing the functions and services provided to the customer and the touch points for various service providers. The other considerations for the design were Green Travel Plan, FSA e-Money Regulations, building regulations/constraints etc.
Our Clients Results
The client was very pleased with the output and the additional consultancy support provided by us during this assignment. The first stages of our recommended scheme design have been implemented and future development of the scheme is planned by the council.
