Creation and Multi Country Launch of Line of Credit (LoC) Product

 

 

 

The Assignment

 

 

When 4Finance, one of the fastest growing Financial Service providers in Europe, had plans to expand its product portfolio across Europe and Latin America. They turned to Consulting Smart for subject matter expertise to create several new lending products in order to extend its offering and revenue streams in existing markets as well as open up new markets in Latin America. LoC was just one of the products we were tasked with developing with a view to piloting in Scandinavia and the Baltics before launch across the entire group portfolio.

Our Involvement

Our Principle Payments Consultant was retained as the Portfolio Manager for Cards and Line of Credit, IT. In addition to launching LoC in 2 countries (Finland and Latvia), developing a roadmap for cards in 3 countries (Poland, Latvia and Sweden) and creating and rolling out a mobile app in a number of other countries, he also introduced Scaled Agile and migrated from the software development from Scrum to Kanban.

 

 

 

Our Approach

First, our consultant analysed the high-level Market Optimisation objectives and worked with the existing commercial team to create a Vision Realisation Path to achieve those aims.

Then after constructing a cross-functional team including, UX/CX researchers and specialists, web and software developers, business stakeholders, country managers, marketing, data scientists, legal and regulatory he worked closely with senior stakeholders to ensure that the changing needs of investors were addressed as the product developed from MVP to maturity.

 

 

 

Our Clients Results

P&L targets exceeded (unit/NPV/CLV basis) LoC Finland quickly became the business’ most profitable product. Given that it was only in its infancy this was a remarkable result. Additionally, 4Finance rolled out the new ways of working introduced by our consultant across its entire operation.
